Hello Crafters!
I'm back! I never really left the land of craft, just the land of blogging! Today, I'd like to share something brand new for me - colouring I'm proud to show off! I took the plunge and purchased the Chameleon Pens from Create and Craft a couple of months ago. This was my first proper practice image and I love how easy the pens blend. I used Sketch Saturday's current sketch for the layout.
My image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called Jamming Janice - she's so cool. You can find her here. I cut her out with a Tattered Lace die and mounted onto DCWV glitter cardstock. I used a Simon Says Stamp die to make the star pattern underneath my image. The sentiment is a new die from Crafter's Companion's Only Words Collection.
Happy crafting,
Rachel x

31 Years Young!
Hi Everyone,
I have a new card for you today using Studio Calico products. I made this for my friend, Lynsey, for her birthday earlier in the month. She is the number one female triathlete in Scotland! We are all so proud of her and hope she leaves them standing at the World Championships next month. When I saw these cute little wooden bikes I knew I needed to use it on her card. And here is the finished result:
I started with an A4 piece of cardstock which I scored in half on the Ultimate Pro. I spritzed with the silver Mister Huey's to add a shimmer. Using the Simon Says Stamp star die I cut the star border straight across the front. The doily is from My Paper Stash and I left it plain. I used Tattered Lace sentiment dies for the Happy Birthday and then attached with Cosmic Shimmer glue.
My focal point was made using Spellbinder Hexagon dies and X-Cut Star dies. I also used the Spellbinder Classic Circle dies for the bicycle base. My papers and wooden embellishments are from Studio Calico. Finally I used a Tim Holtz alphabet die to cut the numbers. Here is a picture in the sun.
When I was over at Lynsey's for her birthday party, I noticed that she had framed my card from last year - I was so chuffed! It also had a bicycle on it so I had better not do a third in a row for next year!
Happy crafting,

Sketch Inspired
Hi All,
I'm speed crafting this week! I tidied up a little this morning but as this rate I'll never get my Christmas tree up in among all the crafty stash.
I was just browsing some blogs and came across a great sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and was instantly inspired.
Here is the wonderful sketch
I went Christmassy but not traditional. I love that die and glitter paper.
I started with an A5 red card blank from Anita's. I used Simon Says Stamp Star Border die twice in the centre. My glitter paper is from Creata and came in a 6 pad set. They are brilliant papers. Usually there is one or two papers that don't float your boat in a set but these are just scrummy.
My sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and is a clear stamp. I love this Christmas set. The reindeer is really beautiful and I'm planning a card from him already. I inked through my Spellbinders Beaded Ovals die with some pigment ink from Lakeland. They used to sell crafty goodies but don't any more which is a real shame.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Frenzy Friday 111612
Totally Gorjuss 159 - Don't Be Square
That Crafty Place - No Squares Allowed
Emergency Crafters - Anything Goes
Stamping Shack - Anything Goes
Hope you are having a great weekend and can steal some crafty time.
